Sammy with Santa
Happy St. Nicolas
Gigi sent us a St. Nicolas present. It's so cool that she does that. It's a present BEFORE Christmas. Genius!
I was so touched when I opened the box because she included some of my childhood ornaments. I was just telling Debbie how I wish I had some of those memories. I was SO HAPPY to get them and then she also included a new baby ornament for Sammy:) :) :)
Also, Sammy got some new duds. He got nice new jeans, and kakis and "Hurley" shirts. My favorite is this "Quicksilver" sweater. It's completely lined with fluff and it's so warm! Sammy looks so stylin'! He wore some his new clothes to see Santa the next day... wait 'till you see this picture....
My girls!
Me and Debbie in 2004
I just got back from visiting my friend in California. It was so good to see her and her family. I love them so much... they are like my own family. Debs and I weren't really in the mood to take any pictures on this trip.... (too busy shopping...JK).... so I dug up this picture of the two of us from 2004! We were having "dinner" at a Dennie's after a night on the town.
This is my best friend ever! I loved seeing her and Sammy loved meeting his auntie Dabbie.
I love you Debbie!

In the evening, Bubby and I got all dressed up in our costumes and strolled downtown to "Hailey's Halloween Hoopla." Sammy was the cutest little monkey ever, and I went as a witch. Downtown, we showed off our costumes, ran into friends, and collected candy from all the local businesses. It was fun! Toward the end I gave Bubby a few m&m's to keep him awake (hehe)... he passed out when we got home... just in time for trick-or-treaters!

Lucy-In-A-Box
Funny story: My parents flew Sammy & I to the OC in September to visit the fam. We had a fantastic time, and I have been dying to post these pics forever now. I finally got the time to unload the pictures from my camera, and the very first shot on the memory card (and from my whole trip) is of little half-naked Lucy lu... in a box. Too funny!
Birthday Dinner
My family threw me a big birthday dinner... it made me feel so special! We had cake & ice cream and everything! And the dinner was a feast! We had lobster, steaks, green beans, mushrooms, sourdough.... it was so yummmmy! Mostly, I just loved, love, loved hanging out and cooking with my whole family! It made me so happy and we had a blast!
Gigi & Lucy
Mom/Jamie/Gigi just loved little Sammy. She was so sweet to him. Jamie is THE BEST Gigi ever! She had all sorts of baby goodies, food, and toys for Sammy (and me) when we got there and we just made ourselves at home. Sam had his first taste of apple juice, melons, popsicles, and cake & ice cream while we were at my parents. It was so much fun!
Lucy... Sammy's 3 year old auntie!... was so cute. She'd say, "hi baby Sammy," and give his head sweet little kisses. I think it might have been a little difficult for her to share her attention with Sam but she did a great job!
On another note... I love how Lucy is often shirt-less:) HA HA
We love you Gigi and Lucy!

Laguna Beach
We walked over to see the beach at Laguna. It was really nice to be at the beach. I really miss the coast line living in Idaho. The sun in California is like no where else, and it was fantastic to be there. Sammy swung in the swing... something he had never done before. It's funny how Life is a circle. I grew up in this area and I have fond memories of my Dad pushing ME in the swing at this very same beach. I'm so happy there.
I know Sammy won't remember this trip, and it might have been a little bit overwhelming for him, but I had a blast!

My Dad took us to go visit our Nana (my dad's mom) and she got to meet Sammy. That was cool. It was great to see her, since I haven't in many years now. I think it was a little difficult for her to really comprehend that she has a great grandson, but that's okay:) Look how Sammy has his little hand on Nana's arm.... so sweet!

It was SO WONDERFUL to be with my family and go to the beach with my son... the same beach that I grew up on. I love the feeling of sand between my toes. Some people hate it, but it feels like home to me. Maybe it's because I grew up in this beautiful place. It has changed much since then, but I still love being here! Sammy didn't share the same enthusiasm when the waves rushed between his little legs, but we still had a blast! What a great day!
